This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing and supplier development initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations, driving cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and operational excellence. You will serve as a key partner to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance while shaping sourcing strategies for critical commodities.You’ll make an impact by:Developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, driving cost savings, supplier performance, and supply chain resiliency.Identifying, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers while benchmarking market capabilities, capacity, and cost structures.Leading complex RFQs, supplier negotiations, tooling programs, and capacity planning initiatives.Building alternate sourcing strategies to support growth, mitigate risk, and improve business continuity.Partnering with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing decisions with business objectives.Driving supplier productivity, continuous improvement, cost transparency, and performance management programs.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.8+ years of strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.Proven experience leading RFQs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance programs.Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and eSourcing tools.Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship and willing to travel up to 10%.Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing commodities including Steel, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Stampings, Structures, and Paint.Experience supporting engineered products, industrial manufacturing, or electrical equipment environments.Knowledge of supplier quality systems, capacity planning, production ramp-ups, and risk mitigation strategies.Advanced experience developing global sourcing strategies and supplier networks.Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS certifications.About Siemens:We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
