Head Chef | Anglesey | Package up to £55,000 + live-in accommodation available

• Base salary £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, with some flexibility
• £5,000 annual bonus
• Tips of around £100 per week, circa £5,200 a year, taking the total package to around £55,000

Tonic are searching for a Head Chef to join our client's coastal pub with rooms on Anglesey. You would be walking into a settled kitchen with a team that has been together a while, so this is about taking something that already works and putting your own stamp on it. The food is fresh British cooking built around local produce, and the business swings hard with the seasons. Summer is relentless, with a terrace that fills the moment the sun comes out. Winter is quiet, and they let it be quiet. What they care about most is who you are. They hire on personality and train the skill, and they want a Head Chef who runs a kitchen the same way.


What are we looking for from Head Chef candidates?

• Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef experience in a fresh food pub, restaurant or hotel kitchen
• Comfortable writing and costing your own menus, and dealing direct with local suppliers
• Strong on GP, ordering and stock control, with a seasonal business to plan around
• Able to hold standards through a genuinely busy summer and keep a team together through a slow winter
• A kind, patient leader. This kitchen brings people up rather than buying them in ready-made
• A driving licence and your own transport would be ideal given the rural coastal location
• Living on Anglesey or the North Wales coast, or happy to relocate. Accommodation is available on site
• Loyalty evidenced in your CV
