Cook needed for school food service in the Egg Harbor City, NJ area. Monday through Friday, day shift, 7 am to 2 pm. No weekends or holidays, summers off! We follow a 10-month school calendar. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch for elementary school students. Deliver breakfast and lunch to Pre-K classrooms. Serve meals in a friendly and efficient manner. Complete daily production records accurately. Count and monitor food and supply inventory. Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system or learn to use one. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen. Wash dishes and assist with daily kitchen cleaning. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Work collaboratively with the school nutrition team to ensure excellent meal service. Qualifications: Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, school, healthcare or other commercial kitchen preferred. Experience with inventory and recordkeeping is a plus. POS system experience preferred, or the ability to learn. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift kitchen supplies, and perform the physical duties of the position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
